Release of European strategies for artificial intelligence (AI)
Two AI strategies were published by the European Commission on October 8, 2025:
1.“Apply AI Strategy” outlines how the use of AI can be accelerated in Europe's key industries and in the public sector.

2.“AI in Science Strategy” presents RAISE's ambitious approach to promoting AI in science.
RAISE stands for “Resource for AI Science in Europe” and is a virtual European institute for pooling and coordinating AI resources for the development of AI and its applications in science.
The key measures of the strategy are:
- Simplified access to AI factories and gigafactories for researchers and start-ups in the EU.
Increased cooperation with member states, companies, and global partners to coordinate measures and promote the responsible use of AI in science.
