Representatives from several U!REKA European University Alliance partner universities took part in the Community for Educational Innovation (CEI) Study Visit, "Advancing the Twin Transition through Green and Digital Innovation in Education," hosted by New Bulgarian University in Sofia on 6–7 July 2026.

The study visit brought together higher education professionals, researchers, innovation experts, and policymakers from across Europe to exchange good practices and explore how universities can accelerate the green and digital transition through education, research, and institutional development.

The participation of U!REKA partner universities highlighted the alliance's shared commitment to strengthening innovation ecosystems and fostering sustainable, digitally enabled higher education. The event also provided an excellent opportunity to deepen collaboration among U!REKA institutions and to exchange experiences on integrating the twin transition into teaching, research, and university engagement.

The Centre of Expertise „Transition to Circular Society“ welcomes the continued engagement of U!REKA partners in European initiatives that promote innovation, sustainability, and inter-university cooperation.
