Research impact statement

I have extensive practical experience in the field of transport planning. After working for the mobility department of a regional capital, I was responsible for the transport planning during the UEFA EURO 2024 in the tournament organizer team. As a result, I have an extensive professional network of public institutions as well as various players in the private sector.

In teaching and research, I focus on interdisciplinary challenges in mobility and urban planning. What challenges arise from megatrends and how do they influence future mobility behaviour? Together with my colleagues from the Research Lab for Urban Transport (ReLUT), we have extensive expertise to tackle a wide range of research questions to shape and develop future orientated concepts in favour of a healthy and sustainable society.

    Making cities and settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
