Research impact statement

I am a Professor of Business Information Systems (Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering) at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and a founding member of the Sustainable Finance Research Lab (SuFiRe). I hold an Innovation Professorship with the project “Sustainability Monitor”, which leverages AI and unstructured data to promote transparency in sustainability reporting.

My research investigates how innovative data sources and methods can close critical gaps in sustainability-related data. Furthermore, I collaborate with industry partners, public institutions, and international research networks to conduct research that addresses real-word challenges and empowers stakeholders to identify and manage novel sources of risk in the digital economy.

Educational background

2015 – 2020 - Ph.D. in Quantitative Management at the Goethe University, Germany, with the Graduate School of Finance, Economics and Management (GSEFM)

2015 – 2019 - Master in Quantitative Management at the Goethe University, Germany.

2005 –2009 - Production Engineering studies at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Industry experience

Since 2020 - Data Science Expert at the Directorate of Data and Statistics of the Deutsche Bundesbank. She advises on the development of the analytic methodologies for integrating multiple internal and external microdata sources and leveraging unstructured data for academic research.

2011 – 2014 - Managed end-to-end projects in Engineering and Manufacturing industries and led and restructured the Oil & Gas division in Brazil.

2007 – 1011 – Various positions at the IBM and IBM Bank in Latin America, where she gained expertise in financial planning and reporting, pricing, process redesign and business information systems‘ implementation.
